Please welcome Nate Maynard to Shanghai! He’s doing his masters in marine policy in Monterey CA
“My interests in general are in one area sustainability, waste management, and general “green” business practices. My other main area is in environmental policy specifically marine policy and marine protected areas. My long term goal is to work in China after I finish my masters program ( at the Monterey Institute of International Studies) for an environmental non-profit or something similar. For my short time in Shanghai I am working on a short research paper for a class identifying the differences in environmental policy.
While in Shanghai I will have some preplanned activities during the day but would like to attend a Greendrinks meeting if possible and interview as many people as I can during the afternoon and evening. I would prefer it if the people I interviewed had a waste management or marine focus but ultimately I am interested in learning as much as I can.
